How It All Started

Before drag racing ever came to mind, I was the kind of kid who just wanted to have a nice cool ride with rims and be as popular as Michael Jackson. No worries in life and the struggles that occur, just partying and having fun. But when fresh out of high school, I guess you have that frame of mind.
I would say it all began with my first motorcycle purchased after graduation from high school. It was a 96 Suzuki SRAD 750, blue with orange rims. It didn’t last very long due to avoiding a crossing deer followed by an oncoming vehicle which totaled the bike. My next bike was an 04 GSXR 750, which I used to entertain with freestyle stunts and later introduced to the drag strip.
After totaling bike number two I was forced to get another, this time the replacement was an 04 GSXR 1000. I gradually pulled away from freestyling and focused more on racing. In 2004 I started to make a name for myself in the drag racing community from riding stock wheel-base bikes and achieving low numbers. But as luck would have it, that bike too would to be totaled.
I am BMW's first professional drag racer.

In 2007 I ended up purchasing an 07 Suzuki GSXR 1000, fresh off the show room floor. I knew a friend of a friend who introduced me to, my crew chief now, Cecil Towner of HTP Performance. I told him I wanted to race in the AMA Super Sport class for 2008 and I needed him to make it happen. In 2008 I entered the AMA Series and I finished #9 in the nation and gained a lot of respect from fellow racers. For 2010 I wanted to race something different in the AMA, so I signed on with BMW introducing their first sport bike the S1000RR. I am BMW‘s first professional drag racer.
